Reforzamos las habilidades del estudiante y procesos aprendidos en la escuela primaria en términos de entrar en su comprensión y uso del lenguaje mediante la aplicación de la matemática y el conocimiento de tecnología y habilidades en un problema efectivo y eficiente de resolución y apreciación del arte y la naturaleza con responsabilidad y sentido ético.

Junior High School

At Instituto Oxford, students at the junior high educational level have access to the English as a Second Language and the French as a Foreign Language programs. 

Through the English Program students can become proficient users of English, being able to express themselves fluently and spontaneously and to use language flexibly and effectively for social and academic purposes.

Learning takes place in an active learning environment that fosters the student’s autonomy, responsibility, and self-discovery. Emphasis is given on communication skills where integration is favored by special projects such as the “Debate Tournament.” 

Students in 9thgrade are certified by the worldwide recognized Cambridge English PET and FCE exams in 9th grade, reaching the B1-B2 level at the end of junior high school, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The French program continues with the program of elementary school up to 9thgrade of junior high. The goal of the French language program in junior high school is that students develop the linguistic and communicative competencies necessaries for a basic user level, A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In 9thgrade, the DELF certification in levels A1-A2 is as well promoted among learners.

Students at this level are also offered the opportunity of having an international encounter by participating in an English/French linguistic, cultural and touristic experience in some countries of Europe.

Additionally to the ESL and EFL programs, all students from 4thto 9thgrade, have the option to join the program of Mandarin Chinese.
